Call for Projects! Design Response to COVID-19: What is your innovation?

Design can help us to rethink the way we live, work and interact. In response to the pandemic, we need the skills of designers from all disciplines to develop resilient, human-centred and cost-effective solutions that work for everyone.

What are you working on? The Design Industry Advisory Committee (DIAC) seeks to promote design-led innovation and interventions at this critical time. DIAC wants to recognize your talent and the contribution of your team. We want to share your projects to encourage others in the community, in business and in government to actively engage designers in their recovery efforts.

If you work in industry, for the public sector or for a design firm, you may be developing projects to adapt public space, indoor environments, products or communications to address the current and emerging challenges. We want to hear about your innovation.

Modest design moves can also make a difference. You may also have suggestions for modifications to projects already underway, or for Pop-up design experiments that could improve our everyday experience and keep us safe as our community adapts to the ongoing health crisis. Tell us about these ideas.

DIAC will review all submissions and select a short list of projects to feature each month through Social Media and on the DIAC website.

To share your project or project ideas, please complete the Call for Projects submission form. DIAC will contact you for permission before any information about your project is shared with our network.

Toronto is a North American hub for design. The Design Industry Advisory Committee (DIAC) is Canada’s only non-profit, cross-disciplinary design research group.
