TRREB – REALTOR® QUEST 2025: Designing Print for Impact and Clarity

This project spotlights the work of Dylan Gnitecki, Graphic and Web Designer at TRREB, who led the design and execution of all print materials for REALTOR® QUEST 2025. As Canada’s largest real estate conference and trade show, held at the Toronto Congress Centre, the event brought together thousands of industry professionals over two days. Dylan’s contributions in the design of print assets played a crucial role in shaping the physical identity, accessibility, and user experience of the event.

1. Vision

The print design vision for REALTOR® QUEST 2025 focused on sparking interest and brand recognition while staying within TRREB’s visual standards. Posters, postcards, and banners were created to generate industry buzz before the event. Dylan emphasized the use of consistent brand guidelines, dynamic imagery, and bold yet clean typography to keep the event visually exciting and immediately recognizable. The print assets were developed not just for visibility, but to represent TRREB’s position as a leader in real estate innovation.

2. Functionality

Functionality was a key consideration across all print materials. Dylan applied graphic design principles such as visual hierarchy, contrast, and spacing to create assets that were both engaging and practical. Materials like signage, maps, and schedules were designed on a case-by-case basis to meet diverse functional needs. Signage, in particular, was approached as a unique design challenge with requirements for legibility, quick scanning, and clarity under high foot traffic. Print adjustments were made depending on context and use, proving the necessity of flexibility in professional print design.

3. Brand

Consistency across all printed items was essential for reinforcing the REALTOR® QUEST and PropTx brand. Dylan adhered closely to brand guidelines, including typography, colour palette, and image style. His background in real estate informed his approach to  typographic choices, favoring professionalism and elegance through restrained, minimal design. Visual cohesion across programs, signs, and large-format print helped deliver a polished, professional environment aligned with TRREB’s values.

4. Environment

Sustainability was integrated wherever possible in the print production process. While working with trusted vendors and in-house production, Dylan ensured that options like recycled paper, eco-friendly inks, and digital proofing were part of the workflow to reduce environmental impact. Conscious material selection and efficient batch planning contributed to responsible print practices without compromising on quality.

5. Health and Wellbeing

Clear, readable signage was critical in maintaining comfort and wayfinding throughout the event, especially during high-traffic periods. A custom icon set and standardized layout ensured wellness areas and key zones were easily identified. Dylan used colour, size, and spacing thoughtfully to minimize cognitive overload and help attendees feel oriented and relaxed. Signage avoided visual clutter, sticking to a visitor-first approach that supported both accessibility and mental clarity.

6. Key Success Performance Indicators

  • Visually cohesive and professional brand representation

  • Clear and effective wayfinding under high foot traffic

  • Accessibility and legibility across all printed materials

  • Strong pre-event engagement via branded promotional print
